QC Specialist – Sample Management

About the role

The QC Specialist (Sample Management) is responsible for coordinating and managing quality‑control samples throughout their lifecycle, from receipt to storage, shipment and disposal. The role also oversees the archival of QC documentation and ensures equipment maintenance aligns with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, ship and discard QC samples in accordance with SOPs.
• Control and audit retained samples, including process and raw‑material specimens.
• Coordinate sample‑logistics documentation and issue QC assay sheets.
• Manage on‑site and off‑site archival of QC documents.
• Write, maintain, edit and review Standard Operating Procedures.
• Prepare deviation reports and change requests.
• Maintain data and records to meet cGMP and regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Science or a related field.
• Relevant experience in a regulated QC environment; level will determine final position.
• Strong understanding of cGMP regulations.
• Good problem‑solving, analytical and communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and QC documentation practices.
• Experience with standard operating procedures and deviation management.
