QC Technician – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Control (QC) Technician will support our dairy manufacturing operations by ensuring that raw materials and finished products meet strict sensory and safety standards. You will work on the production floor in Tuas, performing routine and specialized tests to guarantee product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sensory checks on raw materials and finished goods, assessing flavour, odour, and colour.
• Perform solubility testing and ensure all LOT testing is completed before product release.
• Record test results accurately, report quality issues promptly, and obtain QC/QA approval.
• Prepare, submit, and track samples sent to external laboratories, and file external lab results.
• Support the preparation and implementation of laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Carry out start‑up, changeover, and routine production quality checks, including hygiene, GMP, environmental, and hand‑swab inspections.
• Maintain accurate lab testing, billing, and traceability records while ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and internal SOPs.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment, and consumables stock.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of QC or laboratory experience in food manufacturing, preferably in dairy.
• Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety systems; ISO 22000 and Food Safety Level 1 & 3 certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work 12‑hour rotating day and night shifts in a production or warehouse environment.
• Physical capability to handle sample labelling, storage, and routine production tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with sensory evaluation and laboratory testing methods.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and food safety standards.
• Ability to prepare and follow laboratory SOPs and handle external lab coordination.
