Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

BW Offshore is seeking a senior Quality Assurance Manager to lead and maintain the quality assurance framework for its offshore projects and fleet operations. Based in Singapore, the role sits within the Operations Function, Operational Integrity Department, and will ensure that quality standards align with safety, production, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the quality assurance framework, minimum requirements and supporting processes for projects and fleet operations.
• Define clear quality expectations and accountability with project, asset and functional leaders.
• Apply risk‑based assurance, matching the level of scrutiny to safety criticality, production impact, failure consequences, complexity and supplier performance.
• Set assurance requirements for engineering contractors, EPC contractors, yards, suppliers and critical sub‑tier vendors.
• Establish governance for vendor qualification, surveillance, performance monitoring, escalation and re‑evaluation.
• Define quality objectives, performance indicators and reporting mechanisms; monitor results and trigger escalation or corrective actions when needed.
• Lead Level 3 investigations of significant quality failures and support Level 2 investigations, ensuring lessons learned are integrated into the QMS.
• Support asset verification, technical governance and technical assurance activities to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline relevant to offshore facilities, marine systems or project delivery.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the offshore oil & gas industry or an EPC environment, covering both project and operations phases.
• Proven experience in engineering, project delivery, package management or project quality leadership.
• Deep knowledge of safety‑critical and production‑critical elements, equipment criticality and lifecycle assurance.
• Experience managing risk‑based assurance for contractors, suppliers and sub‑tier vendors.
