Quality Control Technician II – Lab Operations

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technician II to join its Quality Control Labs in Singapore. The role supports the delivery of safe, high‑quality eye‑care products through rigorous inspection and testing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform final product inspection, including testing, sterilization verification, re‑sort checks and documentation verification.
• Conduct lens inspection audits using Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure consistency.
• Handle product disposition and quarantine on‑hold items according to specifications.
• Support validation projects and engineering studies with required inspections.
• Assist QC laboratories with testing as needed and follow all HSE guidelines.
• Report unsafe conditions, injuries or near‑misses and wear required PPE.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE O‑Levels or NITEC in any engineering field.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality inspection.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating day and night shifts.
• Strong team player who enjoys cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Statistical Process Control (SPC) for lens inspection audits.
• Final product inspection and sterilization verification procedures.
