Ramp Process Engineer – Optical Metrology

About the role

The Ramp Process Engineer will support the setup and ramp of a next‑generation semiconductor manufacturing line, focusing on optical metrology and testing. You will collaborate across engineering, operations and hardware teams to ensure a smooth technology transfer from R&D to pilot production and ultimately to high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Review and train on existing R&D processes and transfer knowledge to the pilot production line.
• Create a comprehensive checklist to ensure successful transfer of processes and materials.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, integration, operations and hardware teams to meet timeline for HVM start‑up.
• Track and manage schedules, deliverables and risks for technology transfer and production milestones.
• Coordinate training with R&D transfer engineers.
• Support optical metrology and/or optical testing tool and process qualifications at the HVM site.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and industry standards, especially optical metrology / optical testing.
• Comfortable working across time zones, collaborating with remote teams and supporting factory‑side execution.
• Discipline in tracking and driving deliverables to completion.
• Flexibility to travel between South East Asia and the USA up to 50% of the time.
• Candidates with more relevant experience may be considered for senior or principal roles.
