R&D Process Engineer – Etch

About the role

As a Process Engineer you will design and optimise manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies. The role involves collecting and analysing data, performing hardware characterisation, troubleshooting engineering issues, measuring film properties, producing technical documentation and working directly with customers to resolve concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Design experiments, collect data, analyse results and compile reports for multiple products while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Apply hardware‑characterisation techniques, define new methods and evaluate complex systems across product lines.
• Produce internal and external documentation, presentations, technical reports and process‑engineering specifications.
• Plan, develop and execute process‑engineering projects within safety standards.
• Train engineers on film‑property measurement techniques, guide data interpretation and resolve complex engineering problems.
• Interact with customers to address process‑related issues with minimal supervision.
• Design and implement new technologies, products and analytical instrumentation.
• Identify, select and collaborate with vendors and suppliers independently.

Required profile

• PhD, Master or Bachelor in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline.
• Research focus on semiconductors is a plus.
• Minimum two years of experience in semiconductor, specifically plasma‑etch process development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Problem‑solver attitude with a quality‑mindset.
