R&D Process Engineer – Thin Film

About the role

As an R&D Process Engineer you will design, develop and optimise manufacturing processes for thin‑film display and semiconductor technologies. You will collect and analyse data, perform hardware characterisation, and troubleshoot complex engineering issues while collaborating with global R&D teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design experiments, collect data, analyse results and compile detailed reports within safety guidelines.
• Perform hardware characterisation on advanced CVD, PVD and ALD systems.
• Troubleshoot complex process issues, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Generate internal and external technical documentation, presentations and reports.
• Measure film properties, interpret data and work with vendors and suppliers to integrate new technologies.

Required profile

• PhD, Master or Bachelor in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor process development (CVD, PVD, ALD).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a problem‑solver attitude.
