Regional Business Controller, SEA Oceania

About the role

Fresh, a beauty brand of the LVMH group, is looking for a Regional Business Controller for the SEA Oceania region. The role covers joint-venture markets (Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand) and the subsidiary market of Australia, and sits at a time of transformation toward the set growth trajectory. It offers full stewardship of commercial finance and the full suite of FP&A activities across countries, reporting to the Regional Brand General Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Business partnering: support monthly business reviews, trend and market analysis, SWOT, scenario and sensitivity analyses, ROI analysis, inventory and incentive reviews, and control of A&P and trade spend.
• Monthly analysis of financial results and rolling forecasts, monitoring performance against KPIs, and providing financial insights to the commercial team.
• Stakeholder management with regional functional heads, transparent reporting of risks and opportunities to senior management, and challenging key business decisions with data-driven analysis.
• Review marketing spend and vendor selections, and contribute to the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Take part in monthly closing with the operational team and accounting, analyse actuals versus targets by customer, and support monthly reporting to HQ, local finance, sales and marketing teams.
• Evaluate brand profitability by customer and by subsidiary, assess business risk and prepare backup plans, and check and analyse monthly P&Ls to prepare the monthly management report.
• Support the Australia market in the absence of a local controller.
• Prepare budget revisions and manage the full budgeting process, including bottom-up budgets for divisions and back-office costs, maintain cost control, and support the three-year plan and the budget deck for senior management.
• Take part in finance and IT projects, improve processing efficiency, and reinforce internal controls.

Required profile

• At least 5-8 years of business controlling and/or audit experience.
• Business, financial or accounting degree or related qualification.
• Experience in luxury, FMCG, beauty or retail, and a regional role, is preferred.
• Strong experience in a financial position within an international group.

Required skills

• System-oriented, with strong Excel and Access skills.
• Accounting and controlling knowledge.
• Team player and leader with excellent communication skills, able to work autonomously under pressure and to influence others.
