Regional Finance Controller (Distribution)

About the role

This newly created position reports to senior leadership and combines financial controllership with strategic business partnering across multiple international markets. The role provides high‑impact visibility and supports the organisation’s expansion and M&A initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee finance operations for regional entities, ensuring compliance with group policies and reporting standards.
• Lead management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Strengthen internal controls, corporate governance and financial policies across regions.
• Manage working capital, including inventory, receivables and payables optimisation.
• Oversee statutory reporting, audits, tax compliance and regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction.
• Act as a trusted finance advisor to regional business leaders, providing profitability and operational insights.
• Identify value drivers across the supply chain and support commercial decision‑making.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct financial modelling, due diligence and feasibility assessments for M&A and expansion projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with a professional qualification (CA, CPA, etc.).
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with Big 4 or audit background.
• Strong experience in regional finance management, statutory reporting and internal controls.
• Proven commercial finance business partnering ability.
• Experience in distribution, trading or supply‑chain environments is advantageous.
• Exposure to investment analysis, due diligence or corporate finance activities is preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management across diverse international teams.
