Regional Security Specialist – APAC (Singapore)

About the role

Tesla is looking for a proactive Regional Security Specialist to lead physical security operations across its Singapore facilities and support the broader APAC region. Reporting to the APAC Regional Security Operations Manager, you will act as the primary security point of contact, ensuring a safe environment for staff, assets, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a security‑aware culture and deliver excellent customer‑service support.
• Identify, mitigate and manage operational risks in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate incident response and threat mitigation for staff, assets, and facilities.
• Manage security vendor relationships to ensure cost‑effective service delivery.
• Serve as the direct security liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
• Report, analyse and improve security metrics and key performance indicators.
• Design, deliver and oversee security training programmes.
• Conduct site risk assessments and security surveys.
• Provide first‑line supervision, mentoring and leadership to security staff.
• Implement new security policies and support external partnerships with law enforcement and community organisations.
• Assist APAC‑wide initiatives and travel internationally as required.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in physical security, risk management, loss prevention, emergency preparedness or law enforcement.
• Higher‑education degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel internationally, valid driver’s licence and flexibility for evenings/weekends.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to lead emergency operations and work all shifts, including nights.
• Former law‑enforcement, military, emergency‑operations or emergency‑medical experience highly desired.
• Working knowledge of various security systems and technologies.
