Reliability Engineer Trainee (Attach & Train Program)

About the role

Roche is recruiting a Reliability Engineer Trainee for its Attach & Train program in Central Singapore. The position supports the life cycle management program for all site equipment, facilities and utility systems, combining safety, lean production and reliability engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all site Safety, Health & Environment requirements, report accidents, near misses and hazards, and observe site security measures
• Apply the Lean Production System and a continuous improvement mindset
• Analyze plant reliability and downtime data with Maintenance, Utilities, Quality, Technology and Manufacturing to find defects
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, including predictive maintenance methods such as oil analysis, thermography and vibration analysis
• Compile reliability data, equipment historical data and industry best practices, and support equipment criticality, spare parts and maintenance strategy decisions
• Assist in root cause analysis, FMEA of process and utility equipment, and trend analysis
• Optimize reliability, maintainability and availability, and support condition-based preventive maintenance and maintenance process improvements
• Document reliability issues, support equipment design change recommendations, track obsolescence and help with new equipment specifications and installation qualification
• Support the Asset Management Strategy, interact with clients, service providers and Roche Network functions, and complete in-house training on time

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, preferably with knowledge of operation and maintenance of production and utilities systems
• Knowledge of cGMP concepts and guidelines
• Experience in a biopharmaceutical production facility is a plus
• Good organizational and time management skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of reliability management systems and predictive maintenance methods preferred
• Knowledge of FMEA, RCA, 5S, Lean Six Sigma methodologies preferred
