Research Associate – AI & Policy

About the role

The Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) at NTU is seeking two Research Associates for a two‑year fixed‑term appointment. One position focuses on Global Asia, the other on Artificial Intelligence and public policy. The role involves supporting the Principal Investigator and research fellows in delivering high‑quality research outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews, collect and analyse data, and synthesize findings.
• Assist in preparing research reports, conference papers, journal articles, policy briefs, opinion pieces and book manuscripts.
• Provide operational support for projects, including the Social Lab, conferences, seminars and workshops.
• Maintain research data in line with NTU’s policies and data‑management plans.
• Support project administration such as budget monitoring, report preparation and travel coordination for the research team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public policy, public administration, economics, international political economy or a related field from a reputable university.
• Demonstrated experience in research, field work, data collection, analysis and publication.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with AI and its policy implications.
