Research Associate – Cognitive Flexibility & Learning

About the role

The Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition (CLIC) seeks a Research Associate to support investigations into cognitive flexibility, learning, and training‑related brain changes in adults and adolescents. You will work within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team that bridges psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, and education.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews.
• Design, conduct, and analyse interviews with participants and school personnel.
• Develop, evaluate, and administer surveys.
• Manage behavioural task data and ensure robust data management practices.
• Perform statistical analyses using R, including ANOVA, regression, structural equation modelling, and factor analysis.
• Utilise online and offline research platforms such as Qualtrics, Gorilla, and PsychoPy.
• Prepare reports, tables, and figures following APA 7th edition guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative mindset within an interdisciplinary research environment.
• Interest in science education, language, cognition, and pedagogy.
• Experience with data management and statistical analysis.

Required skills

• Proficiency in R for data wrangling and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with Qualtrics, Gorilla, and PsychoPy.
• Knowledge of ANOVA, regression, structural equation modelling, and principal factor analysis.
• Ability to format research outputs according to APA 7th edition style.
