Research Associate – Computer Engineering / CS / Electronics

About the role

We are seeking a Research Associate to join a funded research project at Nanyang Technological University’s College of Computing and Data Science. The role involves independent research, project planning and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to a funded research project under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
• Plan and manage research activities and milestones within the project framework.
• Manage allocated project resources such as travel and computing costs.
• Provide day‑to‑day supervision and guidance to postgraduate and undergraduate students involved in the project.
• Engage with internal and external research collaborators as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a strong team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• In‑depth knowledge relevant to the project domain and demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research.
• Ability to formulate hypotheses, design experimental plans and implement new methods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and report project progress.
