Research Associate – Differential Privacy & Privacy-Preserving Algorithms

The College of Computing and Data Science at Nanyang Technological University seeks a motivated Research Associate to advance cutting‑edge work on differential privacy and privacy‑preserving algorithms. You will work alongside faculty, researchers, and graduate students on high‑impact projects that shape the future of secure data analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research on differential privacy mechanisms and privacy‑preserving machine learning.
• Design, implement, and evaluate algorithms, providing theoretical analysis of privacy guarantees, utility bounds, and performance.
• Prepare and submit research papers to top conferences and journals; present findings at seminars, workshops, and conferences.
• Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and students on ongoing projects and contribute to research proposals and technical reports.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Research experience in differential privacy, privacy‑preserving machine learning, or formal privacy models.
• Strong background in theoretical analysis and algorithm design.
• Proven academic writing record with publications in international privacy, security, or data‑science venues.
