The post is supervised by Associate Prof Sang-Ho Yun and works within the Integrating Volcano and Earthquake Science and Technology (InVEST) project, which aims to understand regional tectonics, volcanoes and their cascading hazards across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Key responsibilities
- Research fault geometry and rheology that drive future earthquake hazards.
- Generate rapid disaster maps (damage proxies) for earthquakes and volcanic activity.
- Use machine learning to improve InSAR deformation and coherence time-series analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to turn research results into operational applications.
- Publish at least one peer-reviewed technical paper per year.
