Research Coordinator (Medical Oncology)

About the role

The NCCS Division of Medical Oncology at SingHealth is looking for a Research Coordinator to support a portfolio of gastrointestinal oncology, supportive care and health services research projects. Current initiatives include the STRONG programme, a clinical study on chemotherapy-related nausea and an infectious disease study using qualitative interviews. The role works closely with Principal Investigators, clinicians and research collaborators.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate research projects from start-up to completion, including participant recruitment, screening, consent and study visits
• Prepare and manage IRB submissions, amendments, annual renewals and study closure documents
• Maintain study databases, recruitment and screening logs and regulatory files
• Support collection and management of large retrospective and prospective datasets
• Conduct in-depth and semi-structured interviews, assist with interview guides, transcribe and code data, and carry out thematic analysis
• Help write reports, presentations, abstracts and manuscripts
• Support recruitment and onboarding into the STRONG programme, administer questionnaires and patient-reported outcomes, and help patients navigate appointments and referrals
• Enter assessment data and patient communications into Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) and update research databases

Required profile

• Degree in Life Sciences or a related health-science field (or equivalent)
• Some qualitative research experience, including in-depth interviews and/or thematic analysis, and interest in cancer care research
• Effective written and spoken English, and spoken Mandarin
• Able to manage several tasks at once and work independently
• Patient-facing experience is an advantage but not mandatory
