Research Engineer II – Simulation Algorithms for Satellite Systems

About the role

NTU's College of Computing and Data Science seeks a Research Engineer II to advance simulation capabilities for satellite thermal processes. You will work on cutting‑edge GPU‑based algorithms and contribute to multidisciplinary research on cyber‑physical satellite systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑performance simulation algorithms for thermal processes, leveraging GPU computation and radiative cooling models.
• Integrate these algorithms into a comprehensive computational satellite simulation environment.
• Identify and explore new cyber‑physical systems research topics related to computational satellites.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Independent, highly analytical, proactive, and able to work effectively in a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of the project domain and demonstrated ability to conduct innovative research.
• Proven capability to formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and report progress.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
