Research Engineer (Psychology / Neuropsychology / Cognitive Neuroscience)

About the role

The CLIC program at NTU is seeking a full‑time Research Engineer to support interdisciplinary research on cognitive flexibility, learning, and training‑related brain changes in adults and adolescents. The role involves collaboration across psychology, neuroscience, linguistics and education to develop neuroscience‑based interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment of young adults (18‑30) from vocational institutions and the broader working population.
• Organise collection of datasets and ensure data quality.
• Standardise protocols for data coding, entry and analysis.
• Assist in preparing conference presentations and journal papers.
• Perform other administrative duties related to the research project.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Psychology, Neuropsychology, Cognitive Neuroscience or a related discipline.
• Prior experience conducting adult cognitive testing and neuroimaging studies.
• Experience with participant recruitment and data‑management protocols, including ethical regulations in Singapore.
• Experience in general research administration and producing research reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organisational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI and EEG.
• Statistical analysis software: R and SPSS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
