Research Fellow (Humanities/Arts/Social Science)

About the role

The NTU College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS) invites early‑career researchers to join as Research Fellows. The fellowship supports the development of an independent research portfolio that contributes to the College’s research, teaching and intellectual life across a range of thematic clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct original research within humanities, arts or social science disciplines.
• Engage with one or more College thematic clusters such as Digital Humanities, Global Asia, Health, Culture and Society, or Arts, Culture and Sustainability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary centres, including the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art and the Max Planck‑NTU Centre for Biocultural Worlding.
• Contribute to teaching activities, seminars and workshops within CoHASS.
• Disseminate research findings through publications, conferences and public engagement.

Required profile

• PhD or near‑completion in a humanities, arts or social science field.
• Demonstrated potential for high‑quality, independent research.
• Interest in interdisciplinary work and engagement with digital, computational or AI‑related methods.
• Strong communication skills and ability to contribute to a vibrant academic community.
