About the role
The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at NTU is seeking a Research Fellow to develop and demonstrate a prototype mobile robot coupling and decoupling platform. The role involves hands‑on prototyping, problem solving, and supervising final‑year student projects.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and demonstrate a prototype for a mobile robot combination coupling/decoupling device.
- Supervise final‑year students on related projects and ensure technical quality.
- Communicate complex technical issues to multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Electrical/Electronics, Robotics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience with cobot or related technologies (preferred).
- Strong problem‑solving skills, self‑learner, and attention to technical detail.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Required skills
- Python programming.
- C++ programming.
- MATLAB or similar software.
- ROS (Robot Operating System) knowledge.
- Familiarity with control systems for cobots and robotic systems.
