Research Intern, Risk & Investigations (Forensic & Litigation Consulting)

About the role

FTI Consulting's Forensic and Litigation Consulting team in Singapore supports complex, global and high-profile due diligence, litigation, arbitration and investigations. This internship primarily supports the Business Intelligence team, which carries out investigative research and inquiries, produces written reports and helps decision-makers mitigate risk and protect assets. Interns may also contribute to Forensic Accounting engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse information on individuals, companies, industries, markets or situations for investigative and business intelligence assignments
• Evaluate information and sources for reliability, accuracy and relevance
• Prepare research reports and presentations, and link charts or diagrams to record investigative actions and findings
• Carry out language research using local databases and media
• Translate, interpret or draft documents for regional clients as needed
• Identify new sources of information and manage them to achieve high quality and cost effectiveness
• Work with the project team to liaise with regional clients and partners

Required profile

• University student in social science, humanities, languages or business, in the penultimate or final year
• Strong interest in research, business intelligence and due diligence
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Interest in forensic accounting, investigations, fraud risk or dispute matters is an advantage
• Experience in qualitative research and analysis, and good understanding of the local and regional political and business environment, are advantages

The internship is full time, for a minimum of 16 weeks and ideally 6 months, and is open to current undergraduate or final-year graduate students.
