Resident Technical Officer (Civil & Structural)

About the role

Surbana Jurong is looking for a Resident Technical Officer (C&S) to supervise civil engineering sites in Singapore. The officer implements and sustains the site supervision quality and safety assurance system and ensures works comply with authorities' regulations and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and sustain the site supervision quality and safety assurance system.
• Carry out regular site checks on contractors and ensure compliance with health and work safety regulations.
• Ensure site documentation such as ongoing works records, meeting minutes, safety records, method statements, shop drawings and as-built submissions is properly managed.
• Assist on site so that all works meet regulatory and client requirements.
• Assist the Consultant's Project Manager / Site Officer Representative in coordinating site activities, verifying progress and claims.
• Work with Professional Engineers, regulatory authorities and contractors on planning, coordination, supervision and handover to ensure timely project completion.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil & Structural Engineering with a valid Resident Technical Officer (RTO) certificate from IES, Singapore.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of site experience as RTO in Singapore on civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of authorities' and clients' requirements and construction regulations.
