Restructuring & Insolvency Associate / Senior Associate

About the role

The Restructuring and Insolvency team works with industry professionals, companies and their stakeholders to resolve issues affecting profitability, protect enterprise value and facilitate a full recovery where possible. It is described as a collaborative, supportive team with hands-on leaders who guide junior members. This position is based in Singapore and is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day issues on restructuring and insolvency engagements, including liquidation, receivership, judicial management, schemes of arrangement, monitoring and exceptional accounts, debt restructuring and personal insolvency work
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel, and liaise with stakeholders, creditors and other advisors
• Prepare draft correspondence, reports and presentations
• Reconstruct accounting records from incomplete information and carry out investigative work to recover assets for the insolvent estate
• Take part in client meetings and assist seniors with company analysis, including financial modelling
• For insolvency work, attend to statutory and compliance matters

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or another relevant field
• Fresh graduate or at least 1 year of experience for the associate role; at least 2 years for the senior associate role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects at once

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Financial modelling
