Room Service Captain

About the role

The Room Service Captain leads the room service team at our Marina Bay hotel, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional guest experiences. This full‑time, on‑site position combines operational oversight with hands‑on service duties.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and motivate staff to deliver optimal room service, maintaining high standards of teamwork.
• Inspect staff grooming, attire, and overall presentation, correcting any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setup of supplies, equipment cleaning, and securing the area.
• Manage inventory, conduct regular stock counts, and requisition supplies as needed.
• Monitor dining areas for seating availability, safety, and guest wellbeing.
• Complete work orders for maintenance and ensure timely repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Uphold company safety, security, and quality policies, reporting incidents promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant hospitality experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work extended periods standing, walking, or lifting up to 50 lb.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
