Room Service Kitchen – Commis

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis to join the Room Service Kitchen at The Ritz‑Carlton Millenia Singapore. In this entry‑level position you will support the preparation and service of high‑quality food for our guests, ensuring consistency with the brand’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and measuring.
• Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, presentation and quality checklists.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Monitor food temperature, test doneness and maintain food safety standards.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Serve food in correct portions and ensure proper plating.
• Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies and report any issues.
• Maintain a professional appearance and support a positive team environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a kitchen or food‑service environment.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 25 lb throughout the shift.
• Willingness to work full‑time in an onsite kitchen setting.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
