Safety Supervisor / Coordinator

About the role

Join a leading consultancy as a Safety Supervisor/Coordinator, responsible for maintaining a safe construction environment in Singapore. You will conduct daily inspections, enforce safety regulations, and work closely with site teams to prevent incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Supervise all work activities to comply with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, WSH Regulations, and project safety requirements.
• Verify that workers follow Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs).
• Identify hazards during construction and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Communicate hazards, control measures, and safety reminders to workers and supervisors.
• Supervise high‑risk activities such as lifting, work at height, excavation, confined‑space entry, hot works, demolition, and piling.
• Verify contractor safety records, including MSRA briefings, Permit to Work (PTW), training certificates, and toolbox meeting records.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately and coordinate with the ASM/PSM on incident updates.

Required profile

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).
• At least 2 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor/Coordinator in the Singapore construction industry.
• Contractor site work experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and implementing safe work procedures.
• Familiarity with MSRA briefings, Permit to Work systems, and safety record verification.
