Sales Engineer – APJ Region

About the role

Cymulate is seeking a Sales Engineer to join its growing APJ team. You will act as the technical backbone of enterprise sales, partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and channel partners to demonstrate how the Exposure Validation platform reduces risk for customers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, presentations, demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept throughout complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating with Sales and Customer Success to drive deals to close.
• Build and maintain relationships with security executives and hands‑on technical teams.
• Design and run in‑depth proof‑of‑value engagements that show measurable outcomes.
• Support and enable channel partners (resellers, MSSPs, distributors) to run their own technical sales motions.
• Represent Cymulate at trade shows, technical meetups, and industry events across APJ.
• Share customer feedback and technical requirements with Product and R&D to influence the roadmap.
• Mentor other Sales Engineers and champion pre‑sales best practices across the region.
• Stay current on new product features, competitive landscape, and industry developments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of pre‑sales/sales engineering experience in cybersecurity, delivering solutions to C‑level executives at strategic/enterprise accounts.
• Proven track record supporting complex, multi‑stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
• Strong knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, including SOC, SIEM, red teaming, and penetration testing.
• Hands‑on experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, or vulnerability management platforms.
• Experience with Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) or Adversarial Exposure Validation (AEV) strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, Linux, networking, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with APIs, MCPs, and AI and security tool integrations.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, comfortable with both technical teams and security executives.
• Ability to travel up to 40% across the APJ region.
