Sales Engineer – Automation & Motion Control (Training Provided)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Sales Engineer to drive new business and support existing customers in the automation and motion‑control sector. The role includes prospecting, lead qualification, quotation preparation and technical support, with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential customers, turning leads into sales opportunities.
• Follow up on active leads generated by marketing and respond to telephone/email inquiries.
• Enter accurate account and contact details into the company CRM.
• Gather initial project information (budget, needs, decision‑makers, timeline) to build business cases.
• Address customer objections and provide product information, pricing and lead‑time estimates.
• Prepare quotations using the dedicated quoting module for both self‑generated and field‑engineer leads.
• Develop existing accounts by reviewing purchase history, suggesting related items and explaining technical features.
• Retain customers and expand footprint through cross‑selling and up‑selling opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in automation and motion‑control technologies.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Willingness to learn and undergo training if lacking experience.
