Sales Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to develop new business opportunities, manage client relationships and provide technical solutions for pump and industrial equipment sales. The role involves outdoor client visits, proposal preparation and after‑sales support, with occasional overseas travel.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to sales enquiries, understand technical and commercial requirements, and prepare quotations and proposals.
• Conduct outdoor sales visits, build strong relationships with existing and potential clients, and identify new market opportunities.
• Recommend suitable pump products and solutions, act as primary contact for product and technical queries, and follow up on customer feedback.
• Prepare sales orders from purchase orders, provide after‑sales support, and monitor customer satisfaction.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and assist with collection activities when required.
• Track sales performance, achieve assigned targets, and travel overseas for business meetings or customer visits.
• Comply with Workplace Safety and Health policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in pumps, engineering or industrial equipment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, responsible and high integrity.
• Willingness to travel and possession of own transport is an advantage.

Required skills

• Mechanical Engineering knowledge.
• Understanding of centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumps.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
