Secondary School Teacher – Science (Biology)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Secondary School Teacher to deliver Biology within our Science programme. You will work with learners aged 11 to 18 across the IB MYP, IGCSE (Edexcel) and IBDP curricula, fostering inquiry‑based learning and lifelong curiosity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry‑based Biology lessons for Years 7‑13.
• Build learning‑focused relationships and support students’ academic, social and emotional progress.
• Design and use formative and summative assessment tools, recording data to inform planning.
• Collaborate with the Science team to guide learners through MYP levels toward the IBDP.
• Provide high‑quality scaffolding, feedback and learner‑led conferences involving parents.
• Integrate ICT to enhance learning and solve real‑world problems.
• Participate in whole‑school events, model global citizenship and uphold safeguarding duties.
• Serve as a form tutor, helping students set and achieve personal goals.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Science, Biology or a related field
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Experience with bilingual/multilingual learners and diverse needs
• At least two years of experience in an international school environment delivering IB‑MYP, IGCSE or IBDP (preferred)
