Security Software Engineer – Cyber Threat & Secure Backend Development

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Security Software Engineer to join our Singapore office. You will lead the design and development of secure backend services while actively monitoring emerging cyber threats. This role blends deep security expertise with hands‑on software engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and assess emerging cyber threats and security risks.
• Perform malware analysis, threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and incident investigations.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure backend applications and APIs.
• Build and support scalable microservices using Java, Go, or Python.
• Implement security controls across enterprise applications and cloud environments.
• Perform network security administration, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop automation tools to improve operational efficiency and security monitoring.
• Support cloud‑native platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze application and security logs to identify anomalies and improve detection capabilities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, security, and application teams to deliver secure technology solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, security reports, and implementation guides.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, GCTI, GCFA, Security+, or PMP are advantageous.
