Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager Revenue Accounting Projects (Contract)

About the role

Singapore Airlines is hiring a Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager for Revenue Accounting Projects within its Finance division. The successful candidate will act as key change agent for revenue accounting across commercial, servicing and IATA projects and initiatives, supporting the identification, design and delivery of revenue accounting system changes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify the revenue accounting business processes affected by commercial, servicing and IATA projects and enhancements.
• Provide revenue accounting technical support to commercial and servicing teams, reviewing and evaluating initiatives and advising on revenue and financial reporting requirements so that accounting standards, procedures and policies are complied with.
• Identify and establish the affected business processes and the revenue accounting system changes needed to meet regulatory and industry reporting standards.
• Review commercial business requirement documentation, identify risks and financial exposures, and ensure adequate mitigating measures and controls.
• Liaise with revenue accounting business users, IATA and the operational team, and with vendors to agree specifications and finalise functional solutions.
• Document changes, prepare IPRA business requirement documentation, prepare test scenarios for end-to-end testing and monitor delivery against deadlines.
• Manage projects so they are implemented on schedule.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Commerce or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably with good knowledge of accounting systems and revenue accounting business processes.
• Meticulous, with good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills, and effective problem-solving and project management skills.
