Senior AI Builder - AI Central

About the role

NCS's AI Central builds, productises and deploys AI platforms and reusable assets for regulated sectors such as aviation, land transport, public safety, telecommunications and government. This is a high-autonomy, startup-style role embedded in a Singapore technology services firm, working directly with the Chief AI Officer and senior leaders to turn client opportunities into AI-powered products, MVPs and new ventures. Candidates must have designed and deployed consequential AI systems and advised executives on AI strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own the AI delivery methodology for your assigned sector vertical and the reusable asset library from client engagements
• Lead the journey from client problem statement to prototype, MVP or deployable solution
• Turn ambiguous business challenges into product hypotheses, technical approaches and execution plans
• Build and ship AI-enabled solutions using software engineering, model orchestration, automation and design tools
• Advise client technology and business leaders on AI investment priorities, architecture and build-versus-buy choices
• Run fast experiments and iterative delivery cycles, and share reusable patterns and playbooks
• Onboard and develop engineers joining your team

Required profile

• Comfortable with ambiguity, defining scope and driving execution with limited hand-holding
• Combines product instinct, engineering depth and strong judgement
• Works well with senior stakeholders and uses AI fluently in daily work
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver at pace

Required skills

• Hands-on engineering in Python, JavaScript or similar, with production-grade applications
• Real-world experience delivering AI, machine learning or generative AI solutions
• Understanding of LLM application patterns, orchestration frameworks, automation platforms and evaluation approaches
• Good communication and stakeholder management, able to advise at executive level
• Good to have: consulting, venture building or startup experience; enterprise or regulated deployments; cloud, APIs, CI/CD, analytics and observability; regional exposure across Asia Pacific
