Senior Application Engineer - Composite Applications

About the role

The Senior Application Engineer leads the application engineering team, providing technical support mainly for customer quotations and business development case studies across composite applications. The role focuses on understanding customer needs and showing how composite-based solutions fit their cost, timing and resource requirements, with travel to customer sites required.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the application engineering team, covering configuration, enhancements and support for technical documentation and client presentations
• Customize and introduce new features to Metasys software and in-house applications, and design and build new applications to customer specifications
• Guide engineers in testing complex programming, troubleshooting, product launches, software upgrades and licensing management
• Assist the application manager with process improvements and collaborate with system integrators on quality checks and sign-off
• Manage vendor relationships, scope application services and review deliverables
• Supervise engineers in delivering customer support, preparing cost estimates from blueprints and documents, creating conceptual designs, generating CAD models and detailed bills of materials

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in transportation composites or other composite applications preferred

Required skills

• Knowledge of PLC/BMS programming is required
• Knowledge of ACMV and Johnson Controls Metasys is advantageous
