Senior Art Director – Beauty & FMCG

About the role

Publicis Communications, the creative hub of Publicis Groupe in Singapore, is looking for a Senior Art Director who brings deep FMCG knowledge and an eye shaped by fashion, pop culture and global beauty trends. The role elevates how major beauty brands appear across every touchpoint, working with the Creative Director team on briefs covering social, communications, film, digital and retail, with work that travels across Asia to Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Elevate beauty beyond category conventions, blending fashion, editorial and pop-culture sensibility with commercial execution
• Own the editing and typographic approach, using AI tools, unconventional typography and new colour and retouching methods
• Direct photographers and visual talent with precise briefs on mood, light and composition
• Ideate and execute original creative concepts, lead brainstorming and defend creative choices
• Own projects from concept to completion, coordinating photographers, retouchers and production partners
• Collaborate with account management and planning teams to deliver culturally relevant work

Required profile

• 6-10 years of experience with a portfolio showing work at scale in FMCG, beauty, skincare, haircare, personal care, fashion or similar
• Experience or deep study of magazine editorial, fashion brands and pop-culture platforms
• Understanding of how beauty trends spread, including C-beauty and K-beauty, and familiarity with Southeast Asian, Chinese, Indian or Australian markets
• Social-first thinking across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, OOH, retail and packaging
• Willingness to travel to shoots and post sessions

Required skills

• Mastery of design software such as Figma, Adobe CC or Blender
• Familiarity with AI tools as creative augmentation
• Strong grasp of social media platforms and content performance
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and coordinate with vendors
