Senior / Assistant Engineer (CSC Team), Road & Traffic Asset Renewal

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is hiring a Senior, Assistant or Engineer for its Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC) team, which sits within the Road & Traffic Asset Renewal division. You will join an engineering team that administers the regulatory regime governing the formal handover and taking-over of completed road infrastructure and commuter-related facilities from private developers and developing agencies to the Authority.

Key responsibilities

• Technical evaluation and regulatory clearance: review as-built plans, process land subdivision and statutory state vesting, administer defrayment costs and issue CSC clearance letters.
• Industry engagement: partner with developers, consultants and contractors on compliance, document non-compliance issues, recommend corrective steps and track resolution progress.
• Stakeholder engagement: manage public feedback and enquiries about completed street works during the maintenance period.
• Technology adoption and process optimisation: collaborate with internal divisions on new technologies and continuous process improvement.
• Process and policy review: contribute to refining processes and policies so they stay practical and forward-looking.

Required profile

• Knowledge of civil engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of road design standards, construction methodologies and quality control processes.
• Good communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Strong writing, analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in teams, highly organised and able to prioritise multiple projects.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and growth-minded; regulatory experience is advantageous.
