Senior / Assistant Manager, Planning and Development (3-Year Contract)

About the role

NUHS is hiring a Senior / Assistant Manager, Planning and Development on a 3-year contract, with a strong focus on Campus Redevelopment. Planning has started and the new buildings will be completed in about three years; the new campus will be designed to test new care models, integrate well with the community and be built sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Support and guide the Hospital in all infrastructure matters, translating clinical services into infrastructure needs
• Plan, lead, organise and coordinate User Workgroup sessions and prepare materials for productive workshops
• Work closely with consultants as a bridge between them and users to develop design options and solutions
• Keep all parties aware of time and deadlines, and review design proposals so they capture design, operational and technical aspects and stay within budget
• Obtain user sign-offs before construction and verify that spaces are built according to approved plans before handover
• Work with consultants and MOHH on defect listing and rectification of defective works
• Document and communicate hospital operations workflows, interdependencies and additional requests between departments, consultants and other parties, supporting the rest of the campus planning team where needed
• Stay up to date on healthcare planning topics to steer hospital development in the right direction

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related built environment discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Candidates with a healthcare background are highly preferred
