Senior Associate, Fund Accounting (Private Equity)

About the role

MUFG Investor Services, a division of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, provides fund administration, banking, payments, fund financing, custody and related services to public and private funds. Reporting to the Associate Director, this Senior Associate position offers a full range of fund accounting services to private equity clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fund accounting services to private equity clients, including NAV preparation, accruals, investment valuation and cash reconciliations
• Prepare fee schedules, including management fee and waterfall calculations, in line with fund documents
• Prepare investor allocations for each NAV cycle so that capital transactions and P&L are booked and allocated correctly
• Prepare NAV packages and other ad hoc deliverables defined in the service level agreements
• Prepare capital call and distribution calculations and allocations
• Communicate with internal MUFG teams and external clients and resolve client queries promptly
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency

Required profile

• University degree in Finance or Accounting, or a qualified accountant or other relevant qualification preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting, audit or fund administration experience in private credit or private equity preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills and experience liaising with external parties
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task

Required skills

• Strong accounting knowledge, especially management and performance fees, FX translation, profit and loss and balance sheet
• Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and Singapore GAAP
• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; willingness to adopt new technologies
• Experience with Investran accounting software is an advantage
