Senior Associate – Technology, Information Security & Privacy Risk

About the role

The Senior Associate will provide technology, information security and privacy risk expertise for ANZ's Institutional Division on a global scale. Working closely with country risk owners, material risk theme owners and the Risk Centre of Excellence, you will help drive non‑financial risk uplift initiatives, strengthen control environments and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive consistent application of technology, information security and privacy risk frameworks across the division.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify, assess and manage key risk themes such as technology outages, data loss, cyber incidents, privacy breaches and ethical data use.
• Provide practical guidance on regulatory obligations, industry standards and Group risk frameworks.
• Support and coordinate technology, information security and privacy risk assessments, impact assessments and thematic reviews.
• Oversee implementation of risk improvement activities to ensure effective controls and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technology risk, information security or privacy risk management, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
• Ability to translate complex technical risk matters into clear business insights for senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple countries and functions.
• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Senior‑level experience (typically 5+ years) in risk or security roles.
