Senior Associate/Manager, Finance, Incentives Management (1+1 Year Contract)

About the role

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), a government agency under the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, promotes investment and industry development and provides access to government incentives for investors. Its Finance, Procurement & Risk Assurance division works closely with accounts and policy teams, and this role provides timely analysis, review and data insights to the Board on management information, financial incentives and budgetary control. It is a 1+1 year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Meet senior executives, researchers and lead engineers to find out the status of financial incentives awarded to companies.
• Assess whether incentive conditions are met through on-site visits and document review.
• Review company claims for compliance with guidelines and award letters.
• Ensure service delivery meets pre-defined service level agreements, from planning and fieldwork to reporting.
• Identify gaps and help shape the policy framework from issues found.
• Prepare periodic reports for senior management.
• Promote awareness of incentive governance and risk management across the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Preferred: 2 years of relevant experience in audit and knowledge of governance and enterprise risk management.
• Singaporean.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking, able to work independently under pressure or on several priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of incentive guidelines administered by EDB.
• Data analytics and Tableau are an advantage.
