Senior Backend Software Engineer (Java)

About the role

PatSnap is looking for a senior Java Backend Engineer to own the design, development, and delivery of high‑performance backend services. You will work in a fast‑moving, AI‑driven environment, collaborating with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to bring new features to market.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement robust Java backend solutions for new products and features.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects, managing the full development lifecycle from requirements to production deployment.
• Optimize performance and scalability through code reviews, database tuning, and micro‑service fine‑tuning.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, testing strategies, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure cohesive, high‑quality releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues, implement long‑term fixes, and proactively prevent downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and micro‑services architecture.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to lead projects independently and solve complex production problems.
