Senior Compliance Consultant

About the role

Ocorian Consulting Singapore is looking for a Senior Compliance Consultant to advise Asset Management and Funds clients in Singapore and abroad on regulatory requirements across the full regulatory lifecycle, from licensing and compliance frameworks to ongoing MAS expectations, regulatory audits and regulatory change. The role also contributes to marketing and business development, supports technical research and produces technical materials, primarily for Fund Management Company clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver regulatory advice on policy drafting, internal and regulatory audits, training, MAS liaison, licensing, filings and client queries, and manage a client portfolio as main point of contact
• Review colleagues' work, ensure accurate invoicing, meet billable targets and build a strong client pipeline
• Follow the QA Framework, record time accurately and keep CRM and client files up to date
• Build relationships with clients, service providers, trade associations and MAS, and grow the pipeline through up-selling, cross-selling and new clients
• Prepare and present proposals, represent the firm at industry events and contribute articles and content to marketing
• Record activity in the CRM and stay current on regulatory changes and their impact on clients
• Support internal capability building by identifying skills gaps, sharing knowledge and attending training

Required profile

• Degree-educated
• Compliance experience at an FMC, legal practice, consultancy or the MAS
• Client relationship management experience
• Strong MAS regulatory knowledge in the funds sector and deep understanding of fund management practices
• Track record of meeting or exceeding financial targets; consulting experience advantageous
• Mandarin proficiency beneficial but not essential
