Senior Dance Instructor

About the role

The Ballet School seeks an experienced Senior Dance Instructor to lead and inspire students ranging from toddlers to adults. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality classical ballet classes and preparing talented dancers for professional careers and examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and syllabi aligned with the RAD curriculum.
• Teach classical ballet techniques, demonstrate proper form, and maintain a safe studio environment.
• Mentor junior instructors, conduct teachers’ meetings, and ensure consistent teaching standards.
• Develop choreography for annual productions, select music, and coordinate costumes.
• Organise open houses, workshops, master classes and support school events.
• Assess student progress, identify individual needs, and guide each dancer’s development.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of teaching experience using the RAD syllabus.
• RAD Advanced 2 Certificate of Achievement, CBTS (RAD) or equivalent dance diploma.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Self‑driven, independent and able to work collaboratively with the school team.
