Senior Data Analyst – Asia

About the role

FCM is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for the Asia region to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will lead data‑analysis projects, develop advanced analytics models, and mentor junior analysts while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that influence business strategy.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations using Power BI.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and hypothesis testing.
• Build predictive models and automated solutions with machine‑learning algorithms and data‑mining techniques.
• Partner with marketing, finance, and operations teams to translate business needs into data‑driven strategies.
• Work with Data Engineering and Data Governance teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Define data requirements and specifications for accurate data collection.
• Train and mentor junior analysts to elevate technical capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to automate data processing, reporting, and analysis workflows.
• Utilise Python and SQL to optimise and scale analytics processes.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data analytics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience working with large datasets and performing advanced statistical analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and modelling.
• Expertise in Python and/or R for analytics and machine‑learning workflows.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualisation and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of machine‑learning algorithms and data‑mining techniques.
• Strong background in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and hypothesis testing.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management practices.
