Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

OnebyZero is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operation of scalable AWS infrastructure. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to automate deployments, ensure reliability, and mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable AWS solutions using best practices.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline or similar.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise performance and cost of cloud environments.
• Implement security controls and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Manage Linux environments (Ubuntu, CentOS) in production and development.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with development and operations teams.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience.
• Deep expertise with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
• Advanced scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Solid Linux system administration background.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Good understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in cloud environments.
