Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

The Senior DevOps Engineer will own and evolve a scalable, secure, and highly‑available AWS cloud environment. You will work closely with Java and .NET development teams to automate build, test and release pipelines, manage containerised workloads, and optimise the performance of enterprise databases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision and maintain AWS infrastructure and managed database services.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated delivery of Java and .NET applications.
• Deploy, configure and manage containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Monitor system and database health, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies for Oracle, MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure high availability, implement backup/recovery, and enforce security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with development, DBA and platform teams to streamline release processes and improve automation.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience in cloud operations, preferably on AWS.
• Proven ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Java and .NET stacks.
• Strong background in container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud‑native best practices.
• Deep understanding of relational database performance tuning and query optimisation.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
