Senior Digital Verification Engineer

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Digital Verification Engineer to join its team developing Optical Control ICs for AI datacenter and cloud infrastructure applications. The role owns end-to-end verification of complex digital and mixed-signal designs, from block level to full chip and system level, working closely with digital design, analog/mixed-signal, firmware and system teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own block-level, chip-level and system-level verification.
• Develop verification plans covering test strategy, functional coverage, assertions and closure criteria.
• Build and maintain UVM-based verification environments from the ground up.
• Drive functional and code coverage analysis and closure.
• Debug and perform root-cause analysis of complex functional and integration issues.
• Work with digital design teams during architecture definition and RTL development.
• Collaborate with analog/mixed-signal teams on co-simulation and mixed-signal verification.
• Partner with firmware/software teams on system-level and application-level verification.
• Support post-silicon validation and bring-up with product evaluation and applications engineering teams.

Required profile

• B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital verification for complex SoC designs (senior-level).
• Experience in mixed-signal verification, analog modeling or co-simulation is a strong plus.
• Experience with post-silicon validation or silicon bring-up is a plus.
• Awareness of AI-assisted tools to improve design productivity is a plus.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and good spoken and written English.

Required skills

• SystemVerilog and UVM, including testbench architecture, sequences, scoreboards, assertions and coverage.
• Functional coverage, code coverage analysis and coverage-driven verification.
• Familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) and processor-based SoC verification.
• C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl or shell scripting.
