Senior Director, HR Business Leader

About the role

The Senior Director, Human Resources acts as a strategic value creator for the Singapore Manufacturing site, partnering with people leaders to drive business outcomes through strategic advice, consultation and talent strategy execution. As the HR Business Lead for the site, the role advises the VP, Plant General Manager and the leadership team, connecting supported teams to the right HR practices to meet talent and business objectives. It is an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic thought partner for the Singapore Manufacturing site to develop and implement HR strategy and plan HR projects and activities
• Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of HR professionals so the HR strategy is implemented effectively, within budget and in line with regulations and employment standards
• Develop talent development and succession planning aligned with functional growth strategies
• Lead or partner with Center of Excellence units to deliver HR programs and evaluate future workforce needs
• Advise leadership on talent strategies and use data and metrics to identify training and executive coaching needs
• Participate in hiring and selection and perform compensation analysis
• Evaluate and monitor training and coaching programs
• May lead HR aspects of mergers and acquisitions, functional consolidations or other large HR initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and previous HR experience
• Demonstrated track record in people management
• Preferred: Master's degree or equivalent, 15 years of progressive HR experience including HR Business Partner support, 5 years of manufacturing experience, and experience in an international environment

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of local and federal employment laws and of HR processes and systems
• Ability to handle complex employee relations matters, negotiate and resolve conflicts
• Excellent communication, leadership and business literacy skills
