Senior Electrical Engineer - High-Rise & Complex Buildings

About the role

Ramboll is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer for its High-Rise & Complex Buildings team in Singapore. You will help define how some of the region's most complex buildings are powered, connected and experienced, from medium and low voltage distribution to ELV systems, security and vertical transportation. The work is technically demanding and highly collaborative, spanning early concept through detailed design to site delivery, and includes tendering and contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical systems, including 22kV medium voltage, 400V LV, emergency power supply, single line diagrams, lighting and small power, earthing and lightning protection, telecommunications, ELV, security and vertical transportation systems.
• Prepare design calculations, design briefs, technical drawings and authority submissions.
• Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines, client project teams and external consultants.
• Manage tenders: cost estimations, tender documents, technical specifications, evaluation and reporting.
• Handle contract administration, including construction monitoring and site supervision.
• Attend technical meetings, review contractor technical submissions and witness key testing and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of building design experience in a multidisciplinary or M&E consultancy.
• Familiarity with Singapore building legislation, Singapore Standards (SS), regulations, Codes of Practice and agency requirements such as BCA, URA, SCDF and NEA.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience in high-rise and complex buildings is preferred; more extensive experience and deeper technical knowledge may lead to a more senior position.
